HOW IT ALL STARTED

It was after my graduation from ABA ( Academie de Beaux Arts ) in Kinshasa D.R.Congo , not able to find employment, looking at my mother sewing Congolese ladies style outfit using a variety of colorful fabric that I realized my dream of creating a handcraft, fashion and brand that makes people looks good as well as their living space.

As a young female African in America looking for employment in a pouring rain and dark skies overhead on the street of New York without any chance of being hired, I suddenly realized that I was on my own with no one to turn to. I need to make work, I thought to myself.

How does one even do this?

Sometimes life throws you a curve ball and it’s what you do with it that can change the world. It is in that moment that I thought to myself “I will get my hands dirty with arts crafts and order some fabric from my mom in D.R. Congo to get my small business off the ground” With a bit of passion and purpose, I did!

The art of embracing imperfect

Handmade things are often considered ugly and scarred especially if sold by someone not known in an unifiliar environment. But African Art and Fashion fortunately for me tell a beautiful and unforgettable story that goes far beyond cultures and traditions.

Sacry Design is a symbol of inspiration to embrace lives
with all its imperfections striving to improve from ugly to beautiful.
